In response to Mr. Chen unfortunately he is not stating his review truthfully. Mr. Chen called our company to have his irrigation system turned on. We could not turn his system on because the shut off valve was closed and Mr. Chen did not know its location. Our technician spent an hour hand digging to try and locate the shut off valve. At that time Mr. Chen chose to wait and ask the previous homeowner the location of the shut off valve or find who winterized the system for its location instead of paying the hourly rate for labor of $85.00/hr to hand dig the entire length from the street to the backflow prevention device therefore the technician stopped so that further charges were not incurred. It is the homeowner’s responsibility to know this location. We did not install this system and have no way of knowing the shut off location without it being visible or digging to locate it. Mr. Chen called and said he agreed with the hourly charge but wanted us to remove his service call charge or threatened to write a review. Like most service companies we charge a service call to cover the cost of trucks, fuel, insurance, overhead, etc. It is charged to all service customers when a technician is called to their home and Mr. Chen was aware of that prior to the call being made. It is unfair for him to think others should cover the costs of coming to his home. It makes one wonder if Mr. Chen has a history of this with other contractors who come to his home. The full amount of this invoice is still outstanding and will not be reduced. Companies should not be threatened with untruthful reviews by people who feel others should bear the burden of the costs for their homes.

Bad experience. I Paid $167.50 ( $87.50 call fee +$80 labor fee) , but problem can not be solved. I have called to argued the price, since the problem was not solved. However, Owens irrigation still charge me with no reduction. It seems that they do not care what quality of service they have provided.
